Insurance Marketing & Placement Coordinator

AHT Insurance is seeking an experienced Insurance Marketing/Placement Coordinator to play a key role in the marketing and placement of new and renewing commercial insurance coverages.  This position is responsible for the accurate collection and analysis of information necessary to create a comprehensive submission to the insurance marketplace and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented personality who can build and maintain good working relationships with carrier underwriters as well as Producers and agency service team members.

Position Responsibilities

The Marketing/Placement Coordinator will be chiefly responsible for:

  • Assembling pertinent information to complete necessary applications; and reviewing applications for market identification.
  • Creating and sending submissions to the marketplace and maintaining the necessary activities to track, receive and analyze quotes. 
  • Providing Producer with a complete proposal on each risk accepted and quoted.  Coordinate this process with the Brokerage Specialist and/or Producer and the production staff.
  • Providing assistance to sales and service team members in response to technical issues. 
  • Participating in the discussion and review of the current market situation as it pertains to specific accounts, either new or renewal.
  • Keeping team members informed of client marketing activities.
  • Maintaining client files on computer system and using the agency management system to perform all transactions and update notes and status of accounts.
  • Working with the Director of Commercial Brokerage in reviewing renewals and new business; preparing and tracking submissions; and monitoring progress.
  • Meeting with carrier representatives to stay informed about carrier information.
  • Performing miscellaneous projects at management’s request.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working in the insurance industry.
  • Commercial Lines product knowledge and risk management expertise.
  • Good organizational and negotiations skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to work in a multi-task environment with a team-player attitude.
  • Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Computer Proficiency.
