Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator

AHT Insurance is seeking an experienced Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator to perform all activities necessary multi-state, semi-monthly payroll, including verification, reconciliation, maintaining related records, as well as documenting and updating procedures.  This position also supports the Human Resources department with various tasks, as needed.  

Position Responsibilities

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the following:

  • Preparing and processing of multi-state, semi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees, accurately and efficiently. 
  • Assisting with processing new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Maintaining payroll records and personnel files.
  • Assisting third-party vendor with employee and agency licensing.  
  • Ensuring timecards are completed accurately and approved in ADP prior to processing payroll.
  • Updating and managing ADP WorkForce Now, to include the company's ADP homepage.
  • Supportting various departments with ad hoc reports, as needed.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax deduction reports and voluntary benefits reports.
  • Working with ADP on ACA reporting requirements.
  • Processing employment verifications, as needed.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding payroll requirements to ensure company compliance.
  • Providing customer service support to employees with payroll related inquiries, as needed.
  • Assisting with year-end W-2 processing.
  • Completing other payroll and HR related duties, as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minumum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience required.
  • High School diploma required; Associates degree or additional equivalent training highly desirable.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills with solid working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.  
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving,/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines. 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
