Presently, AHT is seeking Employee Benefits Producers to play a key role in expanding our business in the Washington, DC area.  This position will be based in our *NEW* office located in downtown D.C.  We are interested in both experienced insurance professionals and those who are new to the business.  This is an exceptional opportunity for career minded individuals who seek the opportunity to work with a well-respected independent insurance broker.  We have excellent insurance company relationships and an outstanding reputation with our clients.

Position Responsibilities

The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new business revenue growth as well as supporting existing client revenue retention and growth.  Successful candidates will utilize their combined knowledge of the benefits insurance industry with demonstrated success in sales and client relationships to develop, maintain, and retain a book of business.  The EB Producer serves as a risk management advisor to our clients, working closely with the service team to provide quality, consultative services to our clients.

Position Requirements

  • Life and Health licensure or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Successful business-to-business sales experience (professional services or employee benefits preferred) with experience selling to the senior executive level
  • Ability to learn, understand and champion sales process/campaigns
  • Professional demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, make sound judgments, and pay attention to detail
